Composer and conductor Udi Harpaz started his Hollywood career orchestrating and arranging for popular TV shows such as “Little House on the Prairie”, “Fame”, “Cheers” and “Knight Rider”, to name a few.
In 1985 Udi was chosen to compose the music for the popular TV series “Air Wolf” (CBS). Since then he has composed for numerous TV shows and TV movies including “Shell Game” (CBS), “Annihilator” (NBC), “Shadow of Obsession” (NBC), “Uncle Tom's Cabin” (Showtime) and “Tim Conway, Funny America” (NBC).
He has composed for many animated TV shows such as “Spiderman” (Marvel), “Digimon Digital Monster” (Fox), “Centurions” (syndicated), “Mr. T” (NBC), “Beany & Cecil” (NBC), “Space Cats” (NBC) and “Masked Rider” (Fox).
In addition to his vast TV work, Udi has composed the scores for numerous theatrical feature films including “Hollywood Shuffle” (Samuel Goldwyn), “Running Scared” (MGM), “Ninja III” (MGM), “Naked Target” (Frade) and “The Whoopee Boys” (Paramount).
Since 1992 he has divided his time between Los Angeles and Israel, where he records his symphonic scores for movies including “Casper, a Spirited Beginning” (Fox), “Casper Meets Wendy” (Fox) and “Digimon the Movie” (Fox).
For the past fifteen years Udi has been composing, conducting and producing over fifty symphonic CDs for production music companies such as Firstcom, Bruton, Megatrax, Sonoton, APM, West One, 615 Music and Carlin. That music has been featured on theatrical films including “The Sessions” (Fox), and on television including “Bachelorette” (TWC), “Dancing with the Stars” (ABC), “America's Got Talent” (NBC), “Oprah” (syndicated), “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” (NBC), “Saturday Night Live” (NBC), “Body of Proof” (ABC), “Navy NCIS” (CBS), “The Mentalist” (CBS) and “Inside the NFL” (HBO).
Udi has also been a composer and music director on numerous stage shows, among them “Night of the Sultans”, “Masada”, “Fantazi”, “Glow”, “Ali Baba & the 40 Thieves”, “Aladdin”, “Sisters Rosenzweig” and “Women Talk Women”. On “Night of the Sultans” he collaborated with Turkish musicians and recorded the music in Istanbul. On the musical drama “Masada” he travelled to Russia to conduct the Moscow Symphony Orchestra in a ten day recording session, and a year later music directed and conducted “Masada” in a gala performance at the Schubert Theatre in Los Angeles.
